The 50th Anniversary of the California Net Energy Systems Symposium (CNES 2018) held on the UC Davis campus, September 12-14, 2018. This symposium builds on the pioneering work of Professors Lofgreen and Garrett who published their system in the Journal of Animal Science in 1968. Their paper became the basis for how growing cattle are fed worldwide today, and was the most cited paper in animal science journals for over 25 years.
