This course presents an introduction to the main forces affecting bank performance. Through a combination of lecture and discussion students in the course learn about tools banks use to measure their performance. Students will also learn how changes in monetary policy, interest rates, regulation, and competition influenced the evolution of the banking system.
Prerequisites: ECN 100A, ECN 101, and MATH 16A-16B, 17A-17B, or 21A-21B with a C- or better in each
