Have you ever brought your data into
Tableau Desktop only to discover that your data is disorganized and
messy? You end up spending half your time creating calculations to clean
your data, group it, rename columns and create aliases for your data.
This
Tableau Talk will focus on Tableau Prep, the powerful companion tool to
Tableau Desktop. We'll show how to prepare, cleanse, and join your
data before you add it to Tableau Desktop. We’ll demonstrate the basic
steps in Prep, how to create a “flow”, add multiple data sources, and
pivot your data. We’ll show you how to retrofit your existing dashboards
to use Tableau Prep to hide your sensitive data and show some features NOT
available in Tableau Desktop! This talk is geared toward those with
little or no experience in Tableau Prep, but if you’re a Prep master,
we’ll have tips for you as well.
