The Department of Environmental Toxicology held a ceremony on Dec. 14, 2021 to honor the memories of two distinguished members of our faculty -- Professor Fumio Matsumura and Dr. George Alexeeff. The families of these faculty generously established endowments, which allow us to make awards for research project ideas to two of our excellent graduate students each year. The winner of the 2021 Matsumura Memorial Fellowship is Angela Encerrado, who is a Ph.D. student in the Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry Graduate Group. The winner of the 2021 Alexeeff Memorial Fellowship is Anthony Tercero, who is a Ph.D. student in the Genetics Graduate Group.
