This interview is with curator emeritus Ronald Cole. Ronald was first appointed to a research position in the Department of animal physiology in 1965. Subsequently he was hired as the founding curator of the museum of wildlife and fisheries biology. For the next 28 years the collections of birds fish and mammals grew from an inventory of zero 2/20,000 specimens. He retired in 2000 but has continued to work with the present museum staff and continuation of the museum’s growth which is now reached 40,000 specimens one of the largest collections of vertebrate materials for teaching and research purposes in any California University.
