A Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) workshop from April 26, 2021, on Teaching Culturally Diverse Students
Description:
Our cultures and communities shape our experiences, values, and expectations in the classroom and beyond. Diversity strengthens the learning environment, and as instructors, we can look for opportunities for students to draw on their own unique cultures and experiences while also enhancing our own abilities to teach and communicate across cultural differences. In this workshop, participants will reflect on their own identities, explore the concept of cultural competence, and leave with inclusive teaching strategies.
