On Friday, March 1st, we enjoyed demonstrations from
three faculty who have been teaching asynchronously with the interactive
video learning tool PlayPosit. We were joined by some
teaching all-stars: Debbie Fetter from Nutrition, Mark Verbitsky from
Political Science, and Martin Hilbert from Communication. Each of the
demonstrations was quick and visually rich, and they
prompted questions and conversation from the attendees.
I hope you will appreciate learning about PlayPosit, an instructional
design tool that offers instructors simplicity in the form of templates
and reusable learning objects, as well as flexibility with regard to
use of visuals and interaction. With PlayPosit, faculty can create
active learning experiences by layering activities, websites, feedback,
videos, questions, and more on top of video, audio, and text. Most of
our faculty use it with video.
For those who are intrigued by PlayPosit as a teaching tool, we also offered a
bonus 30-minute introductory webinar immediately following DOLCE,
co-presented with Stephanie Gates, a trainer and Customer Success
Manager from PlayPosit.
