Looking for ways to encourage more in-person attendance in the classes
you teach? On October 6, 2023 at noon at our first DOLCE of the school
year, Debbie Fetter from Nutrition and Mark Verbitsky from Political
Science shared their techniques to encourage classroom
attendance and participation in learning-centered ways. You can

Dr. Emily Klancher Merchant from Science and Technology Studies presented structured Zoom breakout room roles such as facilitator, notetaker, and reporter, which students can choose or be assigned to in their reading groups as discussed in her SITT 2020 talk, “Reading Groups in Online Teaching.”
