At this Plugged In event, Professor Alireza Pourreza, director of the UC Davis Digital Agriculture Laboratory, will share some of the exciting research happening in digital agriculture and aerial sensing.
Professor Pourreza along with his students, will present research on the use of digital agriculture and aerial sensing for monitoring specialty crops and generating site-specific management zones for precision farming.
Join us as we learn how digital agriculture uses camera and sensor equipped drones to collect high-resolution data on crop health, water stress and nutrient deficiencies. We will also discover how this information is being used to create site-specific management zones so farmers can efficiently apply inputs like water, fertilizer and pesticides, resulting in higher yields and improved environmental sustainability.
