This course is part of a three-part series on Inclusion Across the Lifespan (IAL) in Clinical Research.
Attendees will be able to:
• Identify ways to engage and build trust with children and parents in research.
• Describe tools and resources, including the CTSC's INSPIRE program, which they can utilize when working with children and parents in research.
• Apply the NIH's Inclusion across the Lifespan Policy in involving children and parents in research.
The series is intended for trainees, principal investigators, and other research team members (clinical research coordinators and project managers) who wish to develop their knowledge of best practices for engagement, including effective outreach and trust-building with diverse populations, the establishment of patient and community advisory boards, applications of patient-centered design, and integration of community members as co-investigators with participants.
