Glenn McGourty (Emeritus Viticulture and Plant Science Advisor for Lake and Mendocino Counties) talked about his experiences, projects (from the effect of smoke exposure to sustainable farming practices), and travels over the last 30+ years. Glenn is not slowing down in retirement. He was just elected to the Board of Supervisors for Mendocino County and he also manages a 10-acre wine grape and walnut farm on the Russian River, where he farms with the sustainable practices he taught local farmers during his UC ANR career.
