The goal of this two part workshop is to give you an understanding of the basic structure of a healthcare company and the realities of how drugs are discovered, developed, manufactured, and marketed.  It is our intent to give a business reality of how to transform ideas into a medical product – in a systematic, compliant and quality-controlled manner – that is thereby data driven.  We will explore the components and complexities of the data management landscape within a pharmaceutical company.  Learning modern techniques embedded in decades old research to transform structured data into insights.  You will learn how these insights are translated into risks and opportunities – so that we can prioritize our workforce on what to focus upon and why.  We will help you understand how and why it is necessary to have scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians creating the necessary mutual understanding by transforming STEM to STEAM, all to serve health for humanity.
