In this talk Dr. Alisa Shubb shares her two-part strategy to increase student engagement in large lecture classes. We examined some of the unique opportunities a live event presents and how she has been able to free up space in lecture by removing some of the “burden” of delivering content using a variety of asynchronous methods for student learning of course content. Secondly, we will look at strategies for creating an interactive style of lecturing using no tools other than a microphone.
