For years, I sought a free, effective live class survey tool for my
large classes (~200 students) as an effective active learning strategy.
Popular but paid options like PollEverywhere or iClickers didn't fit.
Recently, I finally found success with Google Forms, which is free
through UC Davis's Google Workspace. It allows unlimited participants
and automatically collects emails for participation extra credit.
The
key is embedding a QR code, enabling students to participate during
class using their phones or tablets. In this pre-recorded video, I will
provide a step-by-step guide on setting up Google Forms with QR codes,
sharing tips for maximizing student engagement and real-time feedback.
Join me to learn how to leverage this free tool to enhance your
classroom experience and actively involve your students.
