The May 2025 Faculty Forum focused on two topics:
- The future of instructional technology and ATS support for teaching and learning
- Faculty plans to present at the 2025 Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology
IET leaders have asked us to invite faculty feedback on IET’s strategic plan to ”Foster Innovation in Teaching and Learning” for the rest of the current decade (you will need to login with your UC Davis credentials to view and respond). We value such feedback, for at ATS we seek always to support UC Davis faculty in ways that are relevant, targeted, forward-looking, student-centric, and welcome. We hope you will review the strategic plan and then click the “Share your feedback” button at the top of the page to contribute your thoughts.
We also discussed possible presentation topics for the 30th annual Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology. Due by Tuesday, May 20th, the SITT proposals always reflect a variety of teaching experiments, innovations, and accomplishments, typically by faculty who are teaching with new or newly-discovered tools, with visual and auditory media of various sorts, and with enhanced interaction, collaboration, and engagement made possible by UC Davis Canvas and other collaboration tools.
Our SITT theme this year is “30 Years of SITT: Reaching Every Learner.”
