EEC195 Group 9 SLAM Autonomous Vehicle Project

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) is an algorithm that allows autonomous vehicles to sense and obtain real-time measurements of the surrounding area and analyze these measurements to generate a map and find its current location within the map. This technology is critical for autonomous vehicle safety. Our goal was to build an autonomous vehicle capable of retrieving usable data from its sensors to generate a map of an unknown area and localize itself within that map.
