Abstract: Firmware is the core part of embedded systems that’s the main business and operation logic.
Embedded systems are the integral art of the IoT ecosystem. No wonder , IoT devices have
proliferated everywhere, and it is the need of the hour to gear up for IoT security.
As part of our research, we have targeted firmware security. The vulnerability in the firmware
could indirectly affect the whole IoT ecosystem.
There are several challenges when it comes to security assessment of firmwares in embedded
domains. This research aims to contribute towards improvement of existing firmware security
auditing methods.
