Abstract: Integrated photonics has promising applications in the quantum simulation of
fundamental physics phenomena. In this context, we study light and matter hybridization in
coupled cavity arrays with integrated quantum emitters. We model the system using the Effective
Hamiltonian approach with a numerical implementation in Python. The use of the effective
Hamiltonian approach allows us to capture the realistic losses of photons to the environment.
Through this approach, we are able to analyze the effect of cavity detuning to the quantum
hybridization of light and matter on chip.
